President Rocco Commisso had the following to say after Fiorentina Women drew with Inter to secure a place in next season's UEFA Women's Champions League:

“My wife Catherine and I are delighted with this magnificent achievement. We arrived in Florence this morning and this is a wonderful welcome gift.

"Our girls have had a fantastic season and exceeded expectations, despite everything that has happened.

“I'd like to thank our entire management team, the coach [Sebastian] De La Fuente and all our players for this qualification. I'm sure we'll all dedicate this achievement to Joe, who always believed in our women's team and made sure they had his support and that of Fiorentina as a club.

“Viola Park was fundamental in this success because it enabled them to train and work using state-of-the-art facilities, putting them on a par with the men's team at every level.

“Well done, girls! Europe awaits!”
