The Italian Super Cup 1996 was the 9th edition of the competition played on August 25, 1996 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan. The match was played between AC Milan, winners of the 1995-1996 Serie A, and Fiorentina, holders of the 1995-1996 Italy Cup.

The title was won by Fiorentina, who won 2-1 with a double by Gabriel Batistuta: for the first time in the history of the trophy, victory did not accrue to those who had just won the Scudetto.
