Beltran: "Not happy with that result"

Lucas Beltran expressed his and the team's disappointment after they were beaten 3-2 in Athens by Panathinaikos.

“We're not happy because we wanted to come away with a good result,” the Argentine began after the match. “We weren't really switched on at the start of the game but afterwards we reacted well. The same thing happened after the break and then it turned into a scrappy affair with lots of fouls and we lost our way a bit.

“We know we have the return leg to play at home with our fans and we're determined to reach the next round.

“The second half was stop-start, with lots of second balls, which we weren't always able to win. It's a shame about the result because I think we played well in the first half and it was really important to us not to lose.

“The return leg is going to be tough as every game is but with our fans behind us it will be easier. With their support we can go through. We'll leave nothing on the pitch because we so want to advance to the next round.”
