Nicolo Fagioli was unveiled to media during a press conference on Saturday. Here's what our deadline-day signing had to say:

JOINING FIORENTINA - “The negotiations were complicated but ultimately I got to come to Fiorentina and I'm very happy to be here. As the transfer deadline neared I made it clear where I wanted to go and in the end it was possible to push the deal through. Dusan [Vlahovic] and Nico Gonzalez had lots of good things to say about the city and the club.”

SETTLING IN - “The other guys are really helping me to settle in. I immediately felt at ease here. I'm very happy to have joined.”

POSITION - “Palladino sees me as one of the two central midfielders. I'm total open and whoever deserves it will play. We've spoken several times on the phone and really hit it off.”

CHARACTER - “I'm a very calm, laid-back person and I'm delighted to be on this new adventure.”

JUVENTUS - “It's never easy to leave the club where you grew up. In January I realized I needed a change of scenery because I felt I needed to play more.”

ROLE MODEL - “Modric is the best midfielder in the world. I was lucky enough to meet him last summer and I got quite emotional.”

INTER - “Winning 3-0 at home is not something that happens every day. It was a great match.”

FLORENCE - “My granddad and cousin support Fiorentina and they've always spoken so well about the club.”

KEAN - “I grew up with Moise in the youth academy. Before I came here he called me to put me in line, as leaders do.”
