Raffaele Palladino met with the media on Tuesday to discuss Thursday's rearranged home match against Inter.

The original game was abandoned after 16 minutes due to a medical emergency involving Edoardo Bove.

The Viola boss fielded questions both on the game and on the club's January transfer dealings.

LIMITED CHOICES - “We'll only have 14 players available for Inter because of transfers and the rules but I'm sure the lads will put on a great display and try to cause problems for Inter. We'll bring in a few of the academy kids too. [Danilo] Cataldi, [Andrea] Colpani and [Yacine] Adli are doubtful. We'll have to see.”

BOVE - “Edo is with us every day and I expect he'll be with us on the bench on Thursday.”

KEAN UNDERSTUDY- “[Maat Daniel] Caprini will be drafted into the squad because he's a promising player. He's been training with us regularly since the summer and we think it's only right to give talented youngsters a chance.”

TARGETS - “It's early. We need to focus on working hard on the pitch every day. For now we just have to try and improve our league position. We'll see what we can aim for further down the line.”

TRANSFERS - “The club has brought in some very good players – eight out and five in, all coordinated perfectly. We've made these choices to make Fiorentina stronger and the new signings will bolster a squad that's already very good. It's important to get the new guys properly integrated but a lot of them know each other already so it will happen naturally.”

COMUZZO - “Good players attract interest from other clubs – that's normal. Pietro can be like a big signing for the end of the season. I want to thank president [Rocco] Commisso and the club's management for rejecting some big bids for him. [Daniele] Prade, [Alessandro] Ferrari and [Roberto] Goretti put their heart and soul into it.” 

SOTTIL - “I wish Riccardo all the best for his time at Milan. He's improved so much with us and his move to a club like Milan shows how much he's come on.”

ZANIOLO - “He seems mature, fired up and very keen to play for this club. I got a good impression. It's up to Nicolo to prove himself.” 

FAGIOLI - “He's a great player and one I've always liked. He's got lots of quality. Fiorentina have made a top signing there. He'll be a big help to the team. He was really keen to come to Florence.”

NDOUR – "Cher has attacking and defensive qualities. I see him more in the hole behind the striker but he can play in a box-to-box role too. He offers us different options.”
