Daniele Prade was interviewed after his side’s 2-2 draw against Celje in the Conference League. Here’s some of what our sporting director had to say:
“We suffered, but that’s how it is. European games are a real challenge – we were up against a team who play fantastic football and we’ve been playing many games recently. The playing surface didn’t help things but it feels great to make another semi-final, for the third season in a row. We’ll be facing a great team [Real Betis] in a wonderful stadium – it’s set to be a real celebration of football.”
“We made things a bit hard for ourselves but we’ve got Moise [Kean] up top who’s devastating. The team always try to get the ball to him. He’s already scored five goals this season in the Conference League. The lads fought hard – we knew that it would be a difficult match.”
“As for [Marin] Pongracic, he’s been doing really well for two months now. That’s why we signed him – because we knew he was a top footballer. He’s had his fitness issues and it took him a while to bed in.”
