ACF Fiorentina has announced the signing of David de Gea Quintana.
De Gea, born in Madrid on November 7, 1990, came through Atletico Madrid’s academy before making it into the club’s first team, winning the Europa League and European Super Cup.
Ahead of the 2011/12 season he joined Manchester United, where he went on to win one Premier League, one Europa League, one FA Cup, two League Cups and three Community Shields. He made 545 appearances for the club - more than any other foreigner - and ranks in first place for clean sheets at United, with 190.
De Gea has also represented Spain on 45 occasions and won the U-21 European Championships.
Our new keeper will be unveiled on 12 August at 14:00 in the Wind3 Media Center at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.
